EPISODE #03 – GETTING UNSTUCK AND CREATING THE LIFE YOU WANT – PART 2

HOW TO GET UNSTUCK – A FRAMEWORK TO USE – PART 2

In the last episode we covered the first 2 steps in the framework that I use to get UNSTUCK.

In this episode we will talk about step #3 which is to create your ACTION PLAN and then…

  • Implement (take action and start moving forward)
  • Evaluate (determine what is working and what isn’t)
  • Iterate (change things and pick a new option)

I also discuss what to do when you find yourself NOT taking action and how to find what is causing it.

STEP #3 – CREATE YOUR PLAN THEN IMPLEMENT/EVALUATE/ITERATE

We have made some progress!

Now we now know WHERE WE ARE (current results) and WHERE WE WANT TO GO (future results/goals) and WHY WE WANT TO GO THERE (powerful reason).

So now it’s time to figure out HOW TO ACTUALLY GET THERE.

THE ACTION PLAN

We do this by creating an ACTION PLAN.

Most people make this complicated but an ACTION PLAN is pretty straight forward.

It’s a plan of action, or list of things, that you need to do to get a result that you want.

So let’s do it…

My advice is to start small.

Don’t try to change your whole life at once.

Pick one of the results that you want to create in your life.

Pick a result that excites you and/or one that you think is most important to you.

A great place to start is picking a result you want from the lowest rated section on your DASHBOARD. 

Now make a list of all the things you need to do in order to make that result a reality.

Next list of all the things you need to avoid, or stop doing, to make creating that result easier.

And finally, think about and list of all the potential obstacles that may come up on your way to reaching your goal.

IMPLEMENT > EVALUATE > ITERATE

The next step is where the rubber meets the road.

It’s time to finally start taking action!

Time to IMPLEMENT the ACTION PLAN you just created and start moving forward.

How?

Start doing the things you listed on your ACTION PLAN.

And this is where things WILL GET INTERESTING.

This is where most of us start having trouble chasing our dreams, accomplishing goals and creating results.

We know what we NEED TO DO but actually DOING THEM is tough.

This is where the work begins and the magic happens.
